Poulomi Chakravarty, Ph.D. is an Environmental Scientist and Climate Researcher dedicated to bridging the gap between complex scientific concepts and practical, actionable insights for diverse communities. With a multidisciplinary background in climate, ecology, and environmental science, she serves as a Research Advisor at Bio4Climate and is an Executive Coordination Team Member at the South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA).

Her research investigates extreme weather phenomena, land surface-atmosphere interactions, and the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity. Currently, she is developing the Climate Communications Channel Framework at the Global Climate Association, a climate literacy initiative focused on facilitating knowledge transfer between scientific researchers, Indigenous communities, and educational institutions. This work aims to empower learners and local communities with the scientific knowledge necessary to build climate resilience and sustainable futures.

Dr. Chakravarty holds a Ph.D. from the Central University of Jharkhand, where she studied pre-monsoon thunderstorm activity using ground-based observations and planetary boundary layer models. As an educator, she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental analysis, biodiversity, and remote sensing. Her work advocates for a holistic approach to environmental stewardship, combining rigorous scientific inquiry with culturally relevant education to drive meaningful progress toward an inclusive, sustainable future.
