Word Untangle
Five scrambled terms per session, drawn from a bank of forty. Tap letters to rebuild the word — nothing is timed, and a wrong order costs nothing.
How to play
- Read the clue, then tap letters in the tray to spell the answer.
- Tap a placed letter to send it back to the tray.
- A wrong order shows which letters were right, then returns them to the tray.
- Stuck? A hint places the next correct letter for you.
- Five rounds per session; press New set for five different terms.
What it teaches
Rearranging letters forces you to hold a whole term in mind rather than skim past it. The bank is deliberately weighted toward words people meet in headlines but rarely define — malinformation, deskilling, provenance, redress.
For educators
Pair with a writing task: after the session, ask students to use three of the five terms in a single accurate paragraph about a system they actually use.
